ITINERARY
| Day 1 |
Your tour begins upon check-in at your downtown Winnipeg hotel. There are many tourist attractions located in the heart of the city, such as the Manitoba Museum and the Winnipeg Art Gallery.

This morning offers free time to explore The Forks, featuring a River Promenade and international eateries. You will be transferred to the Winnipeg Airport this afternoon for your flight to Churchill, the Polar Bear Capital of the World. Upon arrival you will be met by your Naturalist Guide and transferred to your accommodation. A Welcome Dinner and orientation session will be held this evening, hosted by your guide.

The Kingdom of the Ice Bears! On board the giant Tundra Vehicle, your guide and driver will use their vast experience to seek out these amazing animals and position the buggy for the most advantageous view. Marvel at the “King of the Arctic” in its natural environment.

Discover Churchill’s colorful past on today’s Cultural and Historical Tour. Highlights include Cape Merry, the Port of Churchill, and the Polar Bear Compound. An optional helicopter trip or dog-sled excursion can be arranged, and you may wish to visit the renowned Eskimo Museum or the Parks Canada display.

A second full day on the tundra provides the opportunity to photograph the Great White Bear as it prowls the coastline of the Hudson Bay, waiting for the sea ice to form. You may also spot Arctic Hare, cross fox, or perhaps a snowy owl. A Farewell Dinner has been arranged this evening. Relax and reflect on this unique experience!

Upon arrival in Winnipeg you will transfer on your own to your centrally located hotel. You may wish to visit the renowned Manitoba Museum or simply relax in the hotel lounge.

Following breakfast this morning, enjoy free time to stroll the River Promenade at The Forks and visit the many unique shops. Board the bus for your mid-day transfer to the Winnipeg Airport for your Calm Air flight to Churchill. Upon arrival you will be met by your Naturalist Guide and transferred to your accommodation. A Welcome Dinner and orientation session have been arranged this evening, hosted by your guide. It is his experience and knowledge that will make your trip an adventure.

The Polar Bears! Every autumn, these extraordinary animals prowl along the coast of the Hudson Bay, anxiously waiting for the sea ice to form. Once the bay freezes over, the bears move out onto the ice and spend the winter hunting seal. From the security of the giant Tundra Vehicle you will capture the first sightings of these magnificent creatures. Don't forget your extra film!

Embark on a Cultural and Historical Tour of the town and the surrounding area today. Visit local places of interest such as Cape Merry, the Port of Churchill, and the Polar Bear Compound. Learn the history of the explorers from the Hudson’s Bay Company who founded the town. This afternoon offers free time to visit the Eskimo Museum and the Parks Canada Display. An optional helicopter trip or dog-sled excursion can also be arranged.

The tour begins in Winnipeg upon check-in at the Delta Hotel, located in the heart of the city.

| Day 2 |
An early start! You will be transferred to Calm Air’s hanger facility this morning. Our chartered aircraft is scheduled to depart for Churchill at 7:00am. Breakfast is served on board.
Upon arrival in Churchill, you will be transferred directly to the Tundra Vehicle launch site. Spend the day viewing polar bears in their natural habitat. These magnificent creatures are truly awe-inspiring as they prowl the coastline of the Hudson Bay, waiting for the sea ice to form. Ensure your camera battery is charged! A hearty lunch will be served on board. Our experienced Naturalist Guide and knowledgeable driver will make every effort to ensure you have the most favorable conditions to photograph the bears. An observation platform on the rear of the buggy allows passengers an unrestricted view of the bears.
We will return to Churchill at dusk for dinner as well as the opportunity to shop for Inuit soapstone carvings or other local souvenirs. The return flight to Winnipeg departs at 8:00pm this evening. Upon arrival you will be transferred back to the Delta Hotel.
