  1. What clothing should I take on my tour?
    Weather is often unpredictable, so it is best to check the forecast prior to your tour. You’ll find layering your clothes is a good idea as temperatures can change during the day. Be sure to bring a warm, waterproof jacket, too.
  2. Can I book a tour online?
    We are currently able to book Casino Nova Scotia Stay & Play online. If you wish to book any of our other tours please call us at 1-800-565-7173 or 902-423-6242 and press option one for reservations or email us at tours@Ambassatours.com.
  3. Should I bring a special power adaptor with me?
    Atlantic Canada uses a 3-pin plug and has the same voltage as elsewhere in North America.
  4. What is the weather like?
    Our tours of Atlantic Canada typically run from May until October. July and August are normally the warmest months.
  5. Can I bring my children on your tours?
    Our tours are not recommended for children under the age of 12. Please contact our reservations department for more information.
  6. Are your tours wheelchair-accessible?
    Accessibility for our tours is dependent on a number of factors, including wheelchair type and client mobility. Our reservations department would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
  7. Do I get my own room if I pay single price?
    Yes, on all our tours the single pricing means you will have your own room at each hotel.
  8. How often do your make comfort stops on your tours?
    Are your vehicles washroom-equipped? Our vehicles are washroom-equipped. We also make comfort stops approximately every two hours.
  9. How can I get to Halifax?
    There are no restrictions on travel to Halifax; however both our Atlantic Maritimes and Circle Newfoundland and Labrador tours offer the option of rail travel from Toronto and Montreal. That way, you can leave your car behind, relax and enjoy a truly leisurely trip. See our Rail Tours.
  10. If I travel to Halifax by car, where can I park while I’m on your tour?
    If you have booked a night’s stay before your tour, it is sometimes possible to park at your hotel. Please contact your hotel for pricing and more details.
  11. Where does the tour go?

  12. Is your reservations department open on weekends?
    Yes, our reservations department is open to take your call on weekends (excluding some public holidays).
  13. Are tips and gratuities included:
    a) On our multi-day tours, tips and gratuities to hotel porters, local guides and restaurant staff where meals are part of the tour price are included. b) On our multi-day tours, tips and gratuities to tour directors and drivers are not included. c) On our sightseeing tours, tips and gratuities are not included.
  14. The tour I’m interested in says “Travel Alliance Partners – Guaranteed Departure.” What does this mean?
    Ambassatours Gray Line are proud to be part of the Travel Alliance Partners group. This means that we have teamed up with some of the premier tour operators of the United States and Canada, each with their own regional expertise. Travel Alliance Partners tours have no minimum number of travellers required, so you can book with confidence, knowing your tour will not be cancelled.
  15. Will Ambassatours book my flight for me?
    Our reservations staff can do this for you, however there will be $35 service charge for this.
  16. How do we get from the airport to the hotel?
    Transfers for a regularly scheduled shuttle service can be added to your tour package. You can also purchase this service at the airport, or take a taxi into the city.
  17. How far ahead of time should we arrive in Halifax to start our tour?
    If your tour does not include a pre-night stay, we suggest that you arrive at the departure location at least 20 minutes prior to your pick-up time. If you have any questions regarding your pick-up time or location, please contact our reservations department.
  18. Do we need a passport to travel in Canada or to the U.S.?
    Passports are required for any Canadian travelling outside Canada. Please review the information on http://voyage.gc.ca for information on travel requirements.
  19. Do we receive travel documents and, if so, when will they arrive?
    Travel documents are issued for most tours, usually 3 weeks prior to the departure date. For more information on the options available, please contact our reservations department.
  20. Are seats assigned on the tour vehicle?
    The Tour Director will assign seats at the start of the tour. These will be rotated during the tour, so that everyone has a chance to sit in a different location.
  21. How much luggage can we bring on the tour vehicle?
    Each guest is allowed one large suitcase, which is stored in the luggage compartment beneath the coach, and one carry-on bag small enough to fit in the overhead compartment or under your seat.
