How did you all start wearing kilts and why?
Many people know Ambassatours Gray Line as “The Company With The Kilts” . That is because the Scottish Kilt is in fact our company uniform and if you were to drop by our office during the tourist season most of our staff that come in contact with the public in fact wear kilts. We have over 150 family and regional tartan kilts in our office.
Our company President, Dennis, has the last name Campbell and he has a family tartan and Scottish heritage. He started wearing a kilt when he was a young boy, continuing to wear as his company uniform and has carried that tradition along to now be the company uniform of Ambassatours Gray Line.
Nova Scotia was known in the early days as New Scotland and therefore the whole province has a connection and affiliation with the heritage of Scotland, which can be, seen in dress and music throughout the region. |
