Watch the Halifax SailGP from Georges Island

Join us on the historic grounds of Georges Island for an exclusive viewing of the SAILGP Halifax Grand Prix. This unique outing pairs the excitement of one of the world's fastest sail racing events with a truly local experience. Enjoy a short, scenic ferry ride to Georges Island where you'll explore the natural beauty and historic surroundings and even take a guided tour of the tunnels. A beer garden will be set up offering a selection of Coldstream beers, coolers, and other beverages, giving you time to mix and mingle and prepare for the big race. Watch the high-speed races unfold from a vantage point like no other, with the city skyline and the harbour as your backdrop. Don't miss this unique blend of sports, history, and leisure. Be sure to bring a lawn chair, pack a picnic, and be prepared for different types of weather.  Reserve your spot and be part of a memorable day out at Georges Island.

Pick-up location: Sapori Italian Street Food, located at Queen’s Marque on the Halifax Waterfront (beside Cable Wharf) 1741 Lower Water St., #162
Customers must place their order before 9pm the night prior to pick up. Payment required upon pick up. Sapori Italian Street Food is located approximately 40 meters or 50 steps from Cable Wharf where you'll catch the ferry to Georges Island National Historic Site. Make sure you plan a little extra time to pick up and pay for your picnic lunch before the ferry departs!

Piadina Wrap Lunch Box $21.95+HST
Wrap with salami, cooked ham, speck, provolone cheese, mayo, arugula. Comes with chips, an apple, and a bottle of water.
