Field trips provide students with a great opportunity to connect what they are learning in school with the outside world. Harbour Hopper Tours
All aboard Halifax's most popular boat tour – the Harbour Hopper Tour – a fun, fast-paced adventure by land and sea! From your seat aboard this impressive, retrofitted military vehicle, you'll have unparalleled views of Halifax’s most noteworthy sites, beautiful landscape, and historic and modern architecture. Your knowledgeable and entertaining guide will share historical facts and lesser-known stories about Halifax while even tossing in the occasional knee-slapper. After winding the streets of Halifax, your adventure continues as you SPLASH into the Halifax Harbour. Your driver is now your captain and there is more to explore! Explore McNabs Island
Take your school group to McNabs Island for a day trip! Approximately 5-kilometers long by 1.5 kilometers wide, this island is situated near the mouth of Halifax Harbour. Filled with history and beautiful scenery, this island is a perfect destination for an educational outdoor excursion! Two historical highlights are the military forts that were established early in Halifax’s history as part of the Halifax Defense Complex - Fort McNab, a national historic site, and Fort Ives. Prom & Dance Cruise
This two-hour cruise onboard one of our impressive vessels will make any prom or dance party, a night to remember! It will be an energetic and unforgettable evening of music and dancing, and what better way is there to wrap up the end of the school year? The Halifax skyline and surrounding coastal scenery will be the most beautiful backdrop for selfies and group pictures - mementos that will last a lifetime. Catering available upon request.
Georges Island School Days
Visit Georges Island National Historic Site in the heart of Halifax Harbour, the place the Mi’kmaq called Kjipuktuk or “The Great Harbour.” Enjoy scenic views from a new perspective and immerse yourself in the rich history of Halifax. The ferry to Georges Island will operate every 40 minutes allowing students, educators, and chaperones, plenty of time to learn, explore and have fun. 2025 Georges Island School Days dates TBA.
